November 5, 2020 Dear Chouteau-Mazie Families: I am reaching out to share with you that we were notified that one of our middle school students has tested positive for the COVID-19 virus. This affects 2 staff members, and students from 7th grade primarily who have been identified as direct contacts. All staff members and students who are known to have been in direct contact have been contacted personally by school officials. If your student was identified as a direct contact, we ask that you monitor your student’s health and isolate at home to prevent the possible spread of the virus. According to federal law(s) we are not at liberty to share the name of the students in order to protect their privacy. It is imperative that we all continue to work together to ensure our community members remain safe and healthy. Please know that Chouteau-Mazie will continue to monitor the situation and will provide additional information as we receive it. Sincerely, Lori Helton Superintendent Chouteau-Mazie Public Schools

Chouteau Elementary met the school wide goal of 100% of our students conducting a Student Led Conference by the end of October. Each student created a video of themselves leading their Student Led Conference and then emailed it to their parent. We are celebrating with a dance party Friday, Oct. 30th during the school day. We as educators were blown away at their creativity and eagerness to present well and share their own personal growth and data to their parents. Several of our students also presented their favorite song or poem. Great job, Chouteau Elementary!

Parents, Chouteau Elementary started our fall fundraiser and your involvement is needed more than ever! We would love to make this our ONLY product fundraiser this school year, which is possible with your help! We are raising money for additional activities and celebrations throughout the school year. You can support the fundraiser by any of the following: 1) Purchase items out of the catalog for you and your family. This will be going home today with your child. 2) Share your fundraiser on social media, by email, or text on www.ShopFund.com 3) Ask neighbors, co-workers, friends & others to purchase and show their support. Please know that your assistance this year in particular will make a huge difference and thank you in advance for your participation in the fundraiser! Sincerely, Tamara Bryan Principal Chouteau Elementary School P.S. We will hit our fundraising goal if your family sells just 10 items.

Dear Parents and Guardians, We need your help in keeping our students safe. All parents need to stay in line in their cars while picking up their child after school. This will ensure the line moves quickly and that we do not have students walking in between cars. Thank you for your help with this matter.
