I am extremely proud to announce we have had our first and second students to complete the challenge that was extended to this Friday (end of month) of reading and doing 25 book reports!  The first one was second grader Emmalyne Corbett ❤ Yes, she is my daughter but she set and worked on this goal with the help of her awesome teacher! Way to go!!  The second one finished was none other than our Reading Leader Ms. Dominique Smith. I believe that Dominique has finished EVERY challenge I have ever sent out of the past 3 years! Super proud of her!  Please congratulate these lovely ladies the next time you see them and encourage our students to keep working toward their goals (they still have until Friday to meet the  current challenge). We have a new challenge ready to kick off on Monday November 1st! More info to come!  Thanks,  Mrs. Corbett -- Mrs. Lindsey  Corbett Elementary Librarian lcorbett@chouteauwildcats.com One of the greatest gifts adults can give- to their offspring and to their society- is to read to children. -Carl Sagan

We are still working to make sure that 100% of our students participate in a Student Led conference. We will celebrate if this goal is met. Please set up a time to meet with your child's teacher so that your child can share with you all they are learning and doing here at school.

Dear parents, My name is Tracey Matlock and I am your child’s new music teacher. This year, we will be having two Christmas programs at the elementary. Both programs involve singing, dancing, acting, and costumes. I will have a sign up sheet on the outside of my music room door during the student led conferences for children volunteers who would like to be considered for certain acting and dancing parts.  The third and fourth graders will be performing “The Nutcracker Suite”. The second graders will be performing “Arf! On the Housetop”. The date will be December 9th at the elementary school gym. The second graders will perform at 6:00 pm and the third and fourth graders will perform at 7:00 pm. If you would like to volunteer to help with costumes or have any questions, please email me at tmatlock@chouteauwildcats.com.                 Thank you,                 Tracey Matlock
