Chouteau Elementary COLOR RUN
Celebration
When: May 11th, 2021
TIme: 1:15 p.m.
Where: On C.E.S. Campus
Why: Chouteau Elementary School will celebrate the goal of walking 4,000 miles for the second semester, if we meet the goal.
What you need to know: The celebration is FREE! Students will need to wear tennis shoes and any shirt that can get color on it. White shirts or a Color Run shirt will work the best because the color will show up brighter on them. The students will be provided with fabric markers to sign each other’s shirt.
Sponsorship/Donations: Parents, family, neighbors and friends can sponsor a student by making a donation of any amount. Donations will be used to help Mrs. Cochran and her family. Her husband has been in a hospital or care facility for most of the school year.

This is a FREE event for our students paid for by fundraising efforts throughout the school year.
Students will ride the bus to the ranch and will be accompanied by teachers and staff.
They need to wear closed toed shoes. Water shoes are fine for the canoe.
Lunch will be provided at the Ranch.

WHAT: Chouteau Elementary Spring Program and Award Ceremony
WHEN: May 10th:
3rd Grade - 10am
2nd Grade = 12pm
4th Grade = 1pm
WHERE: Multipurpose Gym
WHY: To show off our musical skills, hand out awards and celebrate a successful school year!
HOW: The students will be with their teacher and ready on the stage at the time appointed to their grade level. No specific attire is needed for the students. Parents and family members need to arrive at the Multipurpose Gym before the start time by entering the outside gym doors. Parents are welcome to check out their child after their performance at the Elementary office.

Fun, Fun, Fun at the swim celebration for meeting our book report goal!
Swimming Celebration at Pryor Recreation Center
LIFE GAURDS WILL BE ON DUTY, Plus TEACHERS.
Who: Chouteau Elementary students who have returned their permission slip. This is due no later than Thursday, April 29th.
What: Play time in the pool and basketball gym. Girls swim for the 1st hour will boys are in the gym, then vice-versa.
When: Friday, April 30th 12:00-2:00 p.m.
Where: Pryor Rec Center
Bring:
Swimsuit
Towel
Extra dry clothes
Sandals
Grocery bag to hold wet items (Some will be available at school if needed)
The Rec Center asks that our students wear "family friendly" clothing (no bikinis and no white t-shirts, as they show through easily.)
The Rec Center does not have enough towels for everyone, so have your child bring their own, as well as a change of clothes to play basketball in, or to leave the facilities in.
Elementary Little Olympics- 2nd- 4th grade
Dear Parents/Guardians
Your child has been involved in practicing for the Chouteau Elementary Little Olympics. Tuesday May 4th, students will walk to the football field at 12:00 for the following events Long Jump, Softball Throw, Football Throw, Relay Team, 50, 75, and 100 yard dash. Each team will compete against each other in Tug of War. Please make sure that your child is properly dressed for running.
Your child was sent home with a list of the events they will be participating in. Parents you are encouraged to attend. Please park in the middle school parking lot and walk to the football field.
Mrs. Cheryl McCartney & Mrs. Angela Hutchinson, We will miss you as you move into retirement but we are so happy for you both and this new season. Thank you for the many years you have devoted yourself to our students and the community. Your impact will be felt for years to come. Blessings to you and yours.

Elementary Oklahoma State Testing

State Testing is our Game Day! We are looking forward to our students showing what they have learned on our end of the year State Test. Please make sure that they are at school on time each day. They will have one test a day throughout the week.

Summer School applications went out today! Please fill out and return by Friday, April 19th if you are interested in your child participating in this opportunity.

Dear Parent/Guardian,
We would like to offer the opportunity to our students to participate in Summer School. This will be open to current K-4th grade students. Summer School will be held for four weeks, Monday-Thursday, 8:00am-12:00am, at Chouteau Elementary. We will begin on Monday, May 24th and end on June 17th. Breakfast and lunch will be provided daily at no cost to students. Breakfast will be served 7:30-8:00 and lunch will be served right before dismissal.
We ask that if you sign up for the program that you have your student here daily and on time so that they can get the most out of this experience.
Please complete the back of this form and return to your child’s teacher by Friday, April 16th if you are interested in enrolling your child.
Dates to Remember: Summer School: May 24-27, No school on May 31st Memorial Day, June 1-3, June 7-10, June 14-17.

Father Daughter Dance
When: Friday, April 9th
Where: Chouteau Elementary Multi-Purpose Gym
Time: 6:30-8:00
Cost: $10.00 a father/daughter couple, more than one daughter, no extra cost. Pay at the door.
We will also be taking donations that night for Mrs. Cochran to help pay for her husband’s medical expenses.
Who: Pre-K to 4th Grade Girl students (may be accompanied by Father, Uncle, Older Brother, Grandpa).
What: Come dance, have refreshments and enjoy a night out with your princess. A church dress is perfect!
